Click on download and watch the paint dry as it downloads a tile at a time. What it is doing is downloading 1600 photos in the selection. The 3D maps are rendered in OpenGL by combining map tile from various sources with elevation data. The maps can be displayed like classic map (North up) or with automatic rotation (GPS orientation and Compass orientation) Current features:. View online/offline maps in 3D and 2D. Note

Insights doesn't work with DirectQuery, streaming, and PUSH datasets; it only works with data uploaded to Power BI.

Row-level security (RLS) isn't supported by quick insights, even in import mode.

Watch Amanda run quick insights on a dataset and open an insight in Focus mode. Amanda pins an insight as a tile on the dashboard, then gets insights for a dashboard tile.

Now it's your turn. Explore insights by using the Supplier Quality Analysis sample.

  1. From the Datasets tab, select More options (...), and then choose Get quick insights.

  2. Power BI uses various algorithms to search for trends in your dataset.

  3. Within seconds, your insights are ready. Select View insights to display visualizations.

    Note

    Some datasets can't generate insights because the data isn't statistically significant. To learn more, see Optimize your data for insights.

  4. The visualizations display in a special Quick Insights canvas with up to 32 separate insight cards. Each card has a chart or graph plus a short description.

Interact with the insight cards

  1. Hover over a card and select the pin icon to add the visualization to a dashboard.

  2. Hover over a card, select More options (...), and then choose View insights.

    The insight screen opens in Focus mode.

  3. In Focus mode you can:

    • Filter the visualizations. If the Filters pane isn't already open, expand it by selecting the arrow on the right side of the window.

    • Pin the insight card to a dashboard by selecting Pin visual.

    • Run insights on the card itself, which is often referred to as scoped insights. In the top-right corner, select the lightbulb icon or Get Insights.

      The insight displays on the left. New cards, based solely on the data in that single insight, display along the right.

  4. To return to the original insights canvas, in the top-left corner, select Exit Focus mode.

As its name implies, World Heatmap Creator aims to help you generate geographic heat maps in a quick manner.

Create an HTML world map with marked locations

Heatmaps display information about a specific parameter value using color codes throughout a regular map. Aside from being visually appealing, these statistical instruments are capable of representing large data sets in a simple manner.

Keeping all that in mind, you should know that World Heatmap Creator cannot exactly generate those beautifully-looking heat maps you see online, as that would involve it to be much more complex than it is. Instead, the application creates a world map in HTML format and marks all the locations you choose.

Mark countries and custom locations on the map

World Heatmap Creator displays a drop-down list of all the countries in the world, storing a specific location for each.

You have to select the desired locations and add them to your list alongside the corresponding latitude and longitude. If you decide to modify the two latter parameters, you will get a custom location on the map.

The generated HTML map is saved locally in a user-defined directory so it can be opened using any web browser, not just the default one. You will notice that all the locations you previously selected are marked with a colored circle similar to colors on a heat map.

Displays relevant locations on the World map

Even though World Heatmap Creator does not actually create heatmaps, it can be of use in situations when you need to mark certain locations on the map where the value of a parameter is noticeable. For instance, you can use it to generate a map of locations where a certain event has happened (for example, virus attack outbreaks, product sellouts, or other similar events).
